 A Story of Mercy

I found myself unable to sleep, not because of problems, but because since my mother relocated from Kariobangi in May, this is the first time I am visiting her in her new place.

This single mabati  house housed 6 kids, sometimes 4, since 2011. Now, the reason why I couldn’t sleep was because when I visited, I was expecting she would have decorated it. But I found it in a mess, and when I asked her, she said she doesn’t know what to do with a big house; she was already used to one room. It was so bad that even with a kitchen, she is still cooking in the sitting room. This made my heart break.

I had to leave, and that’s when I took a picture of the house. It hit me that I had not also digested the blessings juu what do you mean Lucy has not taken a picture?

This is my story of mercy. How mercy changed my mum's story at her old age. How mercy gave my mother a name in her own age.

May your mercy locate you.

The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.

Psalm 126:3
